About The Location
Rose Hill Acres is within walking distance of quaint antique, clothing and home decor shops. Our new brewery, a new bar and restaurant, a country dance bar and some tried and true bars that have sustained Maryville for years are also within a few blocks. Axe throwing and a pocket park are nearby for stress relief, depending on the type of relief you are looking for. Just a little further (approximately 15 blocks) and you are on the beautiful campus of Northwest Missouri State University, where the arboretum is breathtaking. We also boast a winery in a beautiful rural setting just five miles south of town.
About Maryville
Maryville has several parks to let little ones run off steam and a Community Center to do the same for both “big” and little kids. Rose Hill Acres Event Center is also close to hotels, restaurants, a movie theater, a bowling alley and several AirBnBs. A short drive east of town and you are at beautiful Mozingo Lake with a swim beach, campsites with hook-ups, and areas for tent camping. Hit the links at the award-winning Mozingo Golf Course and refresh yourself with its restaurant, bar and attached hotel. Cabins are available for rent to accommodate both large and small groups. The newly built Back 9 Campground on land complimenting Mozingo can accommodate several RVs, both big and small.
My name is Rosemary Stiens. My husband Kirby and I raised our four children on a farm that once housed the Rose Hill School. Rose Hill Acres Event Center is a dream close to 30 years in the making. God’s timing was that I raise my children first, then I could truly enjoy this dream. Learning stories about life events, history and family has always been an interest of mine. I am curious by nature and am always asking questions. The event center is a natural progression to helping others start major events, their story, if you will. Seeing people on one of their best days is a blessing to watch while their story begins.
As much as we would like to believe fulfilling a dream was done on our own because it was our dream, everyone has those who lift us along the way if we look around. My husband Kirby is a hardworking farmer who has always prioritized his family. While he tolerated my frustration about how long my dream took to come to fruition when the time was right, he dusted the dream off and encouraged me to go after it and I am grateful for his support. You see my blessings in the pictures. My wish is that all who enjoy Rose Hill Acres Event Center, whether it be for business, pleasure, or family, be as blessed with support and love, both sweet and tough, and unending faith as that is what dreams truly are made of.
